Based on Auckland's North Shore, Shaw Diesels Limited has 30 years experience as a quality provider and engineer of diesel engines. The company holds service contracts nationwide and as far afield as the Pacific Islands.
Shaw Diesels' experience, knowledge and expertise as importers, stockists, repairers and wholesale/retailers is recognised not only by Gardner (who awarded them Sole Agency for New Zealand) but also by Deutz, who approached the business wanting to be represented by them.
Formed by David and Jenny Shaw, the business simply grew too big to run as a part-time operation. Since then, its continual growth has made expansion of staff and premises a necessary step and now has an extensive workforce, maintains a workshop, showroom and spare parts division in its Albany premises.

Currently expanding its range of engines and looking to supplying more of the Pacific, the company recently moved to bigger and better premises at Douglas Alexander Parade on the North Shore. Jenny describes the move as extremely worthwhile. "Deutz approached us to represent them as one of their dealers. This appointment allowed us to offer a wider range of engines and horsepower ratings, which would be beneficial to our customers.
"We had outgrown our previous premises and with the opportunity of the new agency, our move to new premises was inevitable," she says.
Shaw Diesels are not just Gardner, Lister, Scania, Dong-I and Deutz specialists, but service, overhaul, repair and rebuild all makes of engines, plus supply spare parts, gearboxes and steering equipment.
"We also undertake the fabrication and manufacture of generator set bases and other light engineering work."
